Zucchini Casserole/Evan Almighty

This recipe was neither here nor there, although at the present time the leftovers are sitting in the fridge waiting to be eaten. I was kind to my family and served this with very ordinary hot dogs, so this was sort of optional. I don't even think Dan ate any. It tasted okay, but there is nothing drawing me to warm it up and eat it. I need to think of the starving children of the world to keep myself from feeding it to the garbage disposal. I also think the recipe has errors, which has been very common in this cookbook. I also suspect that the photos are often fake--they either look nothing like the way the recipe turns out, or they are in a shape that a crockpot does not produce. If you look at the picture of the zucchini casserole to the left, you will notice it is in a casserole dish, not a crock pot. False advertising. Or artistic license.
I also had a hot dog adventure as part of this dinner. Has anyone seen Hoffy's Extra Lean Beef Hot Dogs? I had noticed these at the store but was afraid to buy them because they only have 45 calories per hot dog! Most hot dogs are about 180 calories. That's 75% fewer calories than regular! I was convinced that they had to be totally disgusting, but was willing to try because at least they were all beef, a personal prerequisite for hot dogs. Amazingly, they were actually pretty good, so now I'm wondering if it's a typo!

Movie Review--Thumbs up for Evan Almighty! It had some cute laughs, Steve Carell, a good message, Steve Carell, very little bad language, Steve Carell, inspiring moments, and Steve Carell. Did I mention that Steve Carell is in it? The man fascinates me! I could watch his face for hours. He is part of my Big Three Men of Comedy, along with Jon Stewart and Ben Stiller. I wondered if he has a hard time not looking at the camera in movies because it is so much a part of The Office!
